Nyla Usha began her career at the age of 18 in 2004 by doing a job at Hit 96.7 in Dubai as a Radio Jockey (RJ). She received the Masala Award for Best Radio Presenter in 2012.

She made her acting debut in Salim Ahamed’s Malayalam film “Kunjananthante Kada” in 2013 as Chithira opposite Mammootty, for which she won the Asiavision Awards for Best Debut Actress. In the same year, she appeared in a hit Malayalam film “Punyalan Agarbattis” opposite Jayasurya. After that, she appeared in many hit movies like Pathemari, Lucifer, Porinju Mariam Jose, Priyan Ottathilanu, Kunjamminis Hospital, and King of Kotha.
