Career
G. Marimuthu wanted to become a film director, for which he left his home in 1990 and moved to Chennai. He worked as a waiter in hotels in his struggling days. Due to his interest in literature, he soon came in contact with lyricist Vairamuthu.
Tamil Movies
He got a chance to work with director Rajkiran for the Tamil film “Aranmanai Kili” in 1993 as an assistant director. Next, he assisted Rajkiran in the Tamil film “Ellame En Rasathan” in 1995. He also played a small role in the Tamil film “Vaalee” in 1999, and the film “Udhaya” in 2004.
He made his directorial debut in the Tamil film “Kannum Kannum” in 2008, he also acted in this film. Next, he directed the Tamil film “Pulivaal” in 2014.
Besides the directorial, he worked in several movies in the Tamil cinema as a supporting actor from 2011 to 2023. Some of his best movies are Yuddham Sei, Marudhu, Kadaikutty Singam, Vaagai Soodum, Jailer, and many others.
