She did her schooling at Abhinava Vidyalaya in Pune. She joined Shivaji University in Kolhapur and completed her Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree. She also attended the Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) in Pune and gained an MBA degree.

Career

Rutuja Shinde began theatre after her schooling and got her first chance to work in Milind Ukey’s Hindi film “Humne Jeena Seekh Liya” in 2007 at the age of 15. In 2010, she performed in a theatre play “Tipping Point” at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Mumbai, for which she received the Best Actor Female award by the Thespo Award.

She made her acting debut in Kedar Prabhakar Gaekwad’s Marathi film “Online Binline” in 2015 at the age of 23 as Kimiya opposite Siddharth Chandekar, Anand Burad, Hemant Dhome, and others. The film gained breakthrough success in the Marathi cinema and she became a popular actress.

She made her small-screen debut through the Marathi television series “Yolo” in 2017 opposite Nagesh Bhonsle, Anand Ingle, Shivani Rangole, Sai Tamhankar, Shivraj Waichal & Shashwati Pimplikar.

In 2023, she appeared in Atlee’s Bollywood film “Jawan” opposite Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, and others.
